“In 2020, just when the pandemic restrictions were at their absolute worst, my great aunt passed away and it fell on me to take care of her estate,” Susan said. “This meant that the house needed to be cleaned out before it could be sold. “The number one lesson I learned from this experience is that cleaning out a house is a much larger project than you might imagine,” Susan explained. “What I thought would maybe take me a weekend stretched into two weeks, and then three. There was just so much stuff to get rid of, and it took no time at all to fill the trash container entirely.”
Susan had contacted the trash company to request an additional rolling container when the company made a suggestion that made her life much easier. “They said, you know we can bring you a dumpster. We’ll put it right in the driveway and you can toss everything right in there. When it’s full, give us a call and we’ll empty it. You need us to bring it back so you can fill it up again, we’ll bring it back.”
“Once I had the dumpster available, the whole clean out process went much faster,” Susan said. “I didn’t have to worry about whether or not something would fit in the can, or if the rolling container would be too heavy for me to bring to the curb – everything fits in the dumpster, and I didn’t have to worry about how heavy it was!”
